About Us

Our approach is holistic and empowering, partnering with survivors to help them achieve independent, abuse-free lives.

We are now looking for a Head of Business Support to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

This is a unique opportunity for a proactive health and safety management professional with experience in residential property or facilities management to join our mission-driven organisation.

The Role

As our Head of Business Support, you will provide expert advice and guidance to ensure we can meet our statutory responsibilities and continue to deliver safe, high-quality support to our service-users.

Acting as the subject matter expert on health and safety, you'll ensure compliance with all regulations, official standards and best practice and provide innovative solutions to address existing and potential issues, driving a positive health and safety culture across the organisation.

You'll manage the Business Support Team, ensuring all our properties and spaces, including two owned properties and 43 leased/managed properties, remain safe and well-equipped for our staff and service users.

Additionally, you will:

- Line manage the Facilities Manager and Office Co-ordinator
- Compile regular quality and H&S reports
- Undertake regular H&S inspections and investigate safety concerns
- Develop H&S communication programmes
- Manage the H&S reporting system and external IT support provider

About You

To be considered as our Head of Business Support, you will need:

- Health and safety management experience in residential property, social housing, maintenance or facilities
- Experience managing health and safety databases and using IT systems
- Knowledge of contractor management
- An awareness of health, safety and environmental impacts and management
- The ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines
- An IOSH managing safely qualification
- A NEBOSH National General Certification
- To hold, or be working towards, Chartered status of IOSH (or an equivalent membership body)
- A full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
