Robert Walters are hiring for an Assistant VAT Manager for a leading FTSE listed company based in Milton Keynes (supporting flexible working).
This is a permanent role paying circa £40k-£50k plus 10% bonus and benefits package.
Sitting as part of a high-calibre in-house tax function, the VAT Assistant Manager will fulfil a varied role focusing on VAT but also getting involved in other areas of tax such as SDLT and CIS.
Interestingly, as the Tax Assistants prepare the bulk of the VAT returns, this VAT Assistant Manager will predominantly just review the compliance - Meaning that the role contains quite a large element of the more "value-add" areas of taxation, such as tax advisory, business partnering and project work.
It's a great role for someone with some VAT experience who is looking to build on that as part of a top quality tax function, and for someone interested in a role with plenty of development and opportunity to progress.
Happy to consider candidates coming from a dedicated VAT / Indirect Tax role, but also can consider those with some experience in VAT who are interested in taking on a specialized tax role for the first time.
