Job Description:
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for supporting the finance department in managing daily accounting tasks. This position will play a crucial role in maintaining order and transparency for the company's finances. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles, possess a keen eye for detail, and be an organised and committed professional.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Manage invoice processing, including verifying, logging, and mailing.
  • Conduct reconciliation of bank statements and financial discrepancies.
  • Process employee expense claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
  • Support the payroll team by providing relevant employee information (e.g., leaves of absence, sick days, and work schedules).
  • Assist with budget preparation and audits.
  • Maintain digital and physical financial records securely.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and systems.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Officer, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.
  • Experience using financial software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions).
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Sharp time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
