HR Manager

Here at GXO, we are looking for a HR Manager to support our Costa Whitbread sites across the South of England. The main DC being Feltham with 3 out bases, West Thurrock, Willand and Avonmouth.

Working in partnership with HR teams, business leaders, employee forums, trade unions and the client, providing support with the development and the delivery of people initiatives that are aligned to the People Plan. HR lead for all HR and ER matters for Sites within region. As this is a regional role there will be regular travel across the 4 sites.

This is a full-time, permanent position, predominantly working, Monday – Friday, during office hours, however being a managerial role, we do ask for a level of flexibility.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £48,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Support the development and the Implementation of HR Strategy/People Plans
  • To assist in the development and implementation of change management programmes, in support of business objectives
  • To lead engagement, diversity and cultural practices and processes throughout the sites and leadership teams
  • To ensure that all ER matters are handled in accordance with both legislative and company requirements
  • To maintain working relationships with local representative bodies such as Trades Unions, Joint Consultative Committees and Employee Forums
  • Lead from a HR aspect and support the BU site leads with annual pay negotiations with Trade Unions

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • CIPD qualified (minimum level 3) or equivalent experience. Experience of working at Associate HR level for a minimum of 2 years
  • Employee Relations for e.g. Pay Negotiations, Disciplinary & Grievance, Employee Forums, Trade Union
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to build and maintain credible and strong professional relationships at all levels
  • Good knowledge of Employment Legislation and practical application
  • Full UK Driving License with the ability to travel and work hours as required to support a 24/7 operation
