The successful Façade Engineer to lead on the design, engineering and documentation of façade project enquiries utilising customer products and services.
The role will involve:
- Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare comprehensive facade engineering design documents.
- Perform structural and thermal design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, applying engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
- Provide specialist input on facade engineering projects, ensuring innovative and effective solutions.
- Resolve technical problems promptly and efficiently, maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Ensure the quality of products and services on projects undertaken by the team.
- Research design options thoroughly and document findings to support decision-making processes.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure innovative solutions.
To be successful in this role of Façade Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:
- Has designed and developed facades for both residential and commercial projects, ensuring structural integrity, and familiar with rear-ventilated facades
- Has prepared technical drawings and speci?cations for projects.
- Collaborated with architects, designers and Tier 1 contractors to provide technical support and guidance
- during construction phase.
- Degree in facade engineering, or civil engineering
- Member of Society of Façade Engineering (SFE)
- Knowledge of façade support systems and fastening systems.
