My client are seeking multiple experienced and proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technicians to manage the upkeep and maintenance of a prominent commercial building in Central London. This role involves performing both planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure smooth daily operations and a safe, comfortable environment for all tenants.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Conduct scheduled maintenance on essential building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building fabric to avoid equipment failures and ensure operational reliability.
- Reactive Maintenance: Quickly respond to and resolve maintenance issues and breakdowns, minimizing downtime and ensuring minimal disruption to building users.
- Electrical and Mechanical Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment, including lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and minor plumbing.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities follow strict health and safety standards, including risk assessments, safe working practices, and compliance with building regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements, including updating logs and reports as required.
- Contractor Management: Coordinate with and oversee external contractors and vendors when necessary, ensuring work quality and safety standards are met.
**Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in electrical or mechanical engineering
- 18th Edition (if electrically bias)
- Experience in building services maintenance within a commercial environment, with strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication and organizational skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of BMS (Building Management Systems) is advantageous.
