CNC Operative

Our well known client is looking for a trainee or experienced CNC operator they are based near Clevedon + Portishead in Yatton.

Job Purpose Statement / Nature of work

In this role you will be required to set and operate a variety of CNC programmable machines to produce a variety of high quality parts and tooling. We use Heidenhaim, Siemens and Fanuc systems to produce quality machined parts and tooling. Although training can be given a knowledge of CNC machinery, particularly with: G code knowledge, milling and lathe would be of benefit. Knowledge of lean manufacturing would be advantageous.

Main Duties: Job Specific Tasks

  • Using Heidenhaim, Siemens and Fanuc systems to produce quality machined parts and tooling
  • Studying work orders, drawings and machine planning (some training given).
  • Working to set procedures and tolerances
  • Maintain continuity among colleagues by documenting, reporting and communicating on
  • actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
  • To undertake training and operate a range of CNC machinery.
  • To undertake training and operate a range of CNC machinery.
  • To lead by example and portray a good attitude at all times
  • To undertake training as required by the company's needs.
