Job Title: GCSE English Lecturer

Position: Part-Time and Full-Time hours available

Role type: Temporary, ongoing

Location: Birmingham

Rate: £28-£30 per hour including holiday pay

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to GCSE students, ensuring alignment with the national curriculum.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments to monitor and report on student progress.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent conferences, and training sessions.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and motivation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching GCSE English.
  • Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.
