Description
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues affecting production processes.
- Perform timely repairs and adjustments to equipment to minimise downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions.
- Reactive maintenance
- Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and address root causes of equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status.
- Comply with all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and production lines as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in maintenance technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Profile
- Proven experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of automated production equipment, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- NVQ L3/HNC within the relevant engineering field
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and motor controls.
- Familiarity with automation systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Availability to work flexible hours and respond to equipment emergencies as needed.
