Business Development Manager Bids and Tenders

Do you want to use your skills and experience as Business Development Manager (Bids and Tenders) to help an award-winning charity to grow with a clear ambition to support even more people with caring responsibilities and advocacy needs?

Location: Hybrid between home, office and occasion travel across North-West
Hours: Full time 37 hours per week, or 4 days considered
Salary: £38,750 per annum
Benefits: 25 days increasing to 30 with length of service + additional Xmas closure and birthday, 5% employer pension contribution, investment in training and development

About the role

You're already a self-motivated and passionate business development specialist, able to support expansion of the organisation's reach through local authority tenders and grant applications.

You'll play a pivotal role in identifying funding opportunities, developing tender preparation strategies, and overseeing quality tender submissions.

You understand the need for high-quality local intelligence and know how to gather information from academic research, local stakeholder engagement and internal collaboration.

You foster partnerships both inside and outside of the organisation and are committed to co-production.

Reporting to the Business Development Director, you'll play a pivotal role in developing a long-term business development pipeline, identifying areas for development and upgrading systems/processes to enhance the organisation's competitive standing.

About you

You're a highly motivated individual. with a proven track-record in producing high quality tender submissions.

Through the selection process, you'll show us how you manage these important elements of the role:

  • Experience in writing tenders, bids and grant applications
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong research skills and the ability to learn/know an organisation, what makes it unique and special, and how to demonstrate this through bid writing
