  • 37 hours weekly term time only plus 2 INSET days plus 2 set days in August to assist students on GCSE and A Level results days
  • Hours 8.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Thursday Friday 8.00am - 3.30pm
  • NJC Level 6 Point 24

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Career and Business Engagement Leader.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the school's careers education initiatives, fostering meaningful relationships, and preparing our students for successful transitions into further education and the professional world.

As part of this role you will be required to develop and implement a statutory and enriched Careers Education, Information, and Guidance (CEIAG) program, ensuring compliance with Gatsby Benchmarks and the Baker Clause within the Personal Development Curriculum. You will be expected to collaborate with colleagues to support the delivery of careers education for all year groups, promoting cross-curricular learning and student leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute a statutory and enriched Careers Education, Information and Guidance (CEIAG) programme to ensure that the school continues to meet Gatsby Benchmarks and the Baker Clause within the Personal Development Curriculum.
  • Enhance the quality of education by providing resources and support within academic subjects to maintain the careers programme for all year groups.
  • Administer and manage information for key stages, GCSE options, A-Level and alternative pathways at 16 years with transition to Further Education and post-18 options of university, plus alternative pathways.
  • Liaise with relevant colleagues to identify pupils needing specific, bespoke careers guidance i.e., refer to The Risk of NEET Indicator (RONI) as a tool to identify young people in school who have risk factors for becoming NEET.
  • Attend appropriate parents/options/information evenings.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain careers resources, across printed and online platforms.
  • Organise off-site and in-house employer and provider events, such as careers fairs.

The successfu candiate must :

  • Have experience of developing and delivering CEIAG within an education setting.
  • Knowledge of the university admissions system and student finance.
  • A working understanding of the full range of career opportunities for students, including apprenticeships.
  • Knowledge of ow to use ICT packages such as Microsoft Office effectively.
