Field-based - Training delivered at Head Office in Newport Pagnell, or at other locations

Full-time (37.5 hours a week)

Salary - £28,000-£30,000 pa + Benefits

Would you like to have up to 50 paid days off work a year?

If your answer is YES, then we have an opportunity for you to join us at Childbase Partnership, where we are going above and beyond by giving our colleagues the opportunity to have up to 50 paid days off work a year, to further improve 'work-life' balance and promote better workplace happiness. This is a first for the Early Years Sector.

We have an opportunity for an Early Years Trainer Assessor to join our Training Academy of Excellence at Childbase Partnership.

This is a field-based position for someone who holds a minimum level 3 qualification in Early Years as well as a Level 5 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement. The successful candidate must hold both qualifications.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours a week) and we are offering an annual salary of £28,000-£30,000.

We are seeking a candidate with experience and an enthusiasm for supporting learners to grow and flourish in their chosen field, coupled with an ability to successfully self-manage their workload and a desire to consistently strive for excellence.

Accountabilities and Deliverables:

  • You will travel across our nurseries to assess your learners, ensuring the guidance you offer and the tasks you set during your visits enable your learners to fulfil their course requirements. You will identify gaps in their knowledge, according to the assessment framework, and provide appropriate opportunities to support growth within these areas, taking into consideration each individual's preferred learning style.
  • You will successfully use an e-portfolio system to manage learners progress. You will work with a Functional Skills Tutor in instances when learners need to achieve Maths and English qualifications alongside their early years course. You will attend regular standardisation meetings.
  • As required, you will deliver training to learners at our Head Office in Newport Pagnell, or at other locations. You will contribute towards the review and evaluation of the training courses offered by the Academy.
  • You will respectfully engage with your learners, colleagues, nursery teams and relevant external professionals, in order to effectively support your learners and their studies, and to ensure our Academy of Excellence maintains an outstanding reputation not only across our partnership but also externally too.
  • Plan in conjunction with the learner and the Nursery Management Team how to meet all criteria required in the Apprenticeship standards.
  • Support learners to build a portfolio of evidence for their qualification (as required) and to assess this and observe their workplace practice to enable them to complete by their planned end date.
  • Direct learners to resources in preparation for functional skill exams and to liaise with their functional skills tutor.
  • Arrange and invigilate exams where necessary.
  • Management delivery experience is desirable.

As a knowledgeable and experienced Trainer Assessor, you are passionate about empowering learners to achieve and excel. You are self-motivated, able to prioritise your own workload, have a keen eye for detail and are able to nurture and inspire those around you.

Just some of the benefits we have to offer you include:

  • Up to 50 paid days off work.
  • The potential for an annual tax-free dividend payment.
  • Childcare discount from day one; 75% for your children and/or 40% for your grandchildren.
  • Perkbox access offering various retail discounts and reduced ticket prices on days out.
  • Complimentary breakfast, when you are at work.
  • Mental Health App, Employee Assistance Scheme, Occupational Health Service and private medical care.

Successful applicants will need to provide 'right to work in the UK' documentation and evidence of any qualifications essential to the role, undertake a DBS check and provide satisfactory references, prior to commencing employment with us.
