Summary

***INTERNAL APPLICATIONS ONLY***

Joining at a challenging time for Avebury, we're looking for a Visitor Operations & Experience Manager who can help us navigate through change as we look to re-imagine our offer.

Your application should include your CV and a covering letter, clearly setting out how your skills and experience align with this senior operational role.

What it's like to work here

The role is based at Avebury and has direct line-management responsibility for the teams in the manor, gardens and visitor services, as well as the volunteering and marketing & communications officers. Some weekend and out-of-hours work is required, as well as some travel across the South West.

Avebury is a complex, and very special place. It is in a World Heritage Site covering more than 6,000 years of history. At Avebury's heart is Europe's largest megalithic stone circle which attracts people from all over the world. There is also an on-site museum displaying archaeological finds, a sixteenth-century manor house with a six-acre Edwardian garden, a National Trust shop, restaurant and a holiday cottage. In and around Avebury are various tenanted properties and an extensive open access landscape, all within a designated World Heritage Site.
