Reed Finance are working with a client in the Selby area who are looking to recruit into a new role of Finance Assistant. You will be supported by the owners who are both qualified Accountants. As the role is brand new to the business it's a great opportunity to grow in the role and make a real impact on the business. Key responsibilities:
Maintaining and organising financial records across different business functions
Processing sales and purchase invoices via Xero accounting software
Coordinating customer orders and managing supplier communications
Overseeing stock records and ensuring accuracy for daily and month-end reports
Assisting with VAT returns, month-end accounts, and customs paperwork
Keeping supplier pricing up to date and managing logistics-based admin
You will be able to demonstrate:
A keen interest in either entering or progressing your career in finance
GCSEs or equivalent with a particular focus in Maths and English
A good grasp of IT and accounting software – If you have used Xero previously that would be great
Ideally part or fully qualified AAT – If you don't have this but want to study, this will be paid for
