Posted by Pure Resourcing Solutions.

Pure are delighted to be partnering with Cambridgeshire Community Foundation on the recruitment of a part time Finance Manager.

The Foundation is the charity for Cambridgeshire, working towards a better quality of life for people across the county. They identify the most critical needs of local communities, raise funds and award grants to non-profit organisations that make a big impact in addressing those needs.

This role is 14-21 hours a week and it offers hybrid working and flexibility on the working hours.

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Head of Development & Operations, Finance & Audit Committee and Board of Trustees, we are looking for someone to act as a finance lead across the organisation. This is currently a sole finance role, but there may be scope in the future to add an additional staff member to the team.

The main responsibilities are as follows –

  • Lead the preparation of the financial management information, including monthly management accounts, balance sheet, cashflow and annual yearend accounts.
  • Liaise with and report to the Finance & Audit Committee and Board of Trustees on a quarterly basis
  • Prepare budgets and financial forecasts
  • In conjunction with the CEO, develop and regularly review financial policies and procedures
  • Process supplier invoices and expense claims to Sage
  • Issue invoices and recording of payment receipts
  • Produce payment runs on a weekly basis
  • Month end reconciliations on all balance sheet accounts
  • Oversee and develop an effective treasury management strategy
  • Prepare robust cashflow projections on a regular basis
  • Oversee, check and post all transactions affecting cash balances
  • Support the grants team in all fund related payments and financial accounting
  • Prepare all financial information for the year end audits, liaise with auditors, and prepare and manage the audit work.

You must have proven experience in the above mentioned duties, good excel skills, the charity sector and the ability to analyse and interpret data. You must have excellent organisational and time management skills and strong attention to detail.
