Accounts Payable Officer

We are searching for an Accounts Payable Officer to join a well-known company, based in Southampton, on a 4-month temporary basis. You will work with the Accounts Payable team to ensure the smooth running of the department and process invoices and payments for suppliers.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing invoices, checking and resolving any issues
  • Liaising with the creditor team to resolve supplier issues
  • Allocation of returning invoices
  • Matching, batching and coding of invoices
  • Supporting payment runs
  • Purchase ledger duties

What you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Accounts Payable Officer / Accounts Payable Clerk / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Accounts Administrator / Finance Administrator / Accounts Payable Administrator
  • Confidence with Excel spreadsheets
