I am currently recruiting for a Finance Manager on a permanent basis, for one of my key clients in the Coventry area, the role will be for a well-established Not - For -Profit looking to join a personable and driven individual into their team.

Salary: Between £45,000 and £65,000 per annum depending on experience

Contract: Permanent

Location: Coventry

Qualification: ACA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACCA or QBE

Working: Highly flexible working hours and home working

Sector: It is highly desirable for the candidate to have previous experience in Not-For-Profit, Public Service, Regulatory or Government Sectors for this position

Duties of the Finance Manager:

  • Working as a key partner between the senior finance and processing team responsible for the data collection and inputting
  • Implement a true business partnering model into the organisation
  • Managing a small team of 7 people
  • Responsible for the continuous review of the current processing methods, streamlining and simplifying as required
  • Working with the senior finance team particularly around month end regarding data entry progress, ensuring the data is kept up to date with minimal data errors
  • Overseeing the collation, review & finalisation's of month end data
  • Working with the team to explain trends / narratives around the P&L
  • Reviewing & monitoring the balance sheet including control accounts, bank reconciliations & ledger close down
  • Responsible for overseeing credit control ensuring effective targeted communications
  • Reviewing the day-to-day cash, managing the timing of significant payments whilst maintaining timely payments

Key skills for the Finance Manager:

  • Experience using excel to a high-level including data extraction & manipulation
  • Qualified with experience working with a long-established team & processes
  • Experience leading and assisting a team in all areas of their roles
  • Experience in process improvements to create a more organised & efficient finance function
