Associate Project Manager

Gattaca Projects is the Engineering and Technology consultancy part of the group providing Statement of Work (SoW), outcome-based solutions. Industry trends are pushing more engagements towards SoW and therefore we are seeing significant demand for our services and as such we are investing and growing the team.

The Associate Project Manager will be accountable for supporting the PM team manage projects from cradle to grave, ensuring delivery within budget and timescales and in accordance with appropriate project processes and procedures. They will ensure that all activities comply with Gattaca Projects' quality, environmental, health and safety requirements. Project values will typically range from £100K to £5M.

The role within Gattaca Projects will give the successful candidate the opportunity to grow both their personal ambitions but also give them a multiple career paths within the wider Gattaca business. You will be supported to obtain professional qualifications that sit within the remit of your role but also be able to grow personally with the help of the many courses and schemes that Gattaca offer alongside their incentives and packages for high performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage and report progress against project budgets and schedules
  • Creation and maintenance of project schedules
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues and opportunities
  • Identify and manage project change
  • Manage project spend, ensuring invoicing is performed in a timely manner
  • Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders (Clients, Suppliers and Internal Stakeholders)
  • Adhere to the Gattaca Projects Quality Management System

Key Skills:

  • Experience in an Assistant or Junior Project Management role (Desirable)
  • Previous exposure to a Technical or Engineering environment (Desirable)
  • Good understanding/awareness of Project Management Principles
  • Excellent oral, written and presentational skills.
  • Ability to operate efficiently in a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Competent in resource (people, budgets and equipment) planning and coordination
  • Knowledge of MS Project, or equivalent software.
  • Experienced user of standard office software (word processors, spreadsheets, e-mail etc.).
