Butler Rose is working with one of the largest housing associations in London and the south-east in their search for a Finance Officer - Service Charges to join their team. This is a three month temporary role in London and will pay £16.64 an hour to the successful candidate.
The role of Finance Officer, Service Charges plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth recovery of the supporting documentation needed to enable operations and finance to correctly process service charge queries and resolve billing issues.
Responsibilities:
- Processing queries regarding service charges, providing accurate and timely data and recovering appropriate documents, you will adhere to procedures and financial regulations.
- Addressing enquiries from internal stakeholders and external customers, you will resolve issues and disputes following escalation chains where necessary for swift resolution.
- Coordinate with appropriate teams to address any service charge related problems or concerns.
- Performing any ad-hoc duties within the AP & AR teams as and when your workload allows.
- Ensure that you follow and keep up to date with all relevant client and statutory policies and related procedures including health and safety and financial regulations.
Required Experience:
- Part/fully qualified CCAB desirable or qualified by experience.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable/rental income processing or a similar finance role.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is crucial with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and oral).
- Ability to take direction when required and work as part of a busy high-performing team to meet tight deadlines.
