GSL Education is in search of an energetic Science Teacher to join a local secondary school in Weymouth for a permanent position starting in September 2024.

As a Science Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to ignite curiosity and foster a love for science among the students. You'll deliver engaging lessons that capture the imagination and encourage exploration, helping students to develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts and their real-world applications

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging and comprehensive Science lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
  2. Implement differentiated teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to excel.
  3. Utilise innovative and interactive teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world applications to make scientific studies relevant and captivating for students.
  4. Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
  5. A positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for science and promoting respectful behaviour among students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification in Science.
  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS
  • Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level is preferred, not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school's curriculum.
