Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client a highly reputable team of Chartered Surveyors. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and commercial management for construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs
- Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process
- Prepare and submit progress reports and financial statements to stakeholders
- Conduct risk assessments and implement cost control measures
- Provide value engineering solutions to optimise project costs
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project success
Qualifications and Skills:
- Chartered membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools such as Microsoft Excel, CostX, and AutoCAD
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and time management skills
Please note that initially there will be a requirement to be office based more as you get to grips with things, once up to speed you can expect to work from home 2- 3 days per week.
