We need a Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Advisor to go to multiple sites on the Anglian Water network.
You will be part of the Integrated Operational Solutions team, working in the site team as a SHEQ Advisor.
You have a background in MEICA, SCADA and Telemetry.
You will be:
Responsible for reviewing and approving subcontractor RAMS and SOPS and ensuring compliance with AWS (angial Water Services) standards.
Undertake site audits to monitor compliance
Responsible for ensuring the delivery of legislative compliance and promote continuous improvement of Safety and performance
You'll be supporting the Site Teams in identifying solutions and options to overcome issues, delivering Toolbox Talks, safety briefings and wellbeing campaigns.
You will encourage the reporting of near misses through proactive engagement with Operatives and Supervisors.
You will also review risk assessments and method statements, verifying temporary works are implemented safely.
You'll conduct investigations of incidents and accidents, identifying root cause analysis and recommendations to prevent re-occurrence.
Reporting incidents
Assisting in the identification of safety training needs for site based personnel and bring these to the attention of the Regional Health and Safety Manager.
Submit reports within agreed timescales. You'll also ensure actions from investigations are acted upon and close-out the report in a timely manner.
You'll have the opportunity to suggest, communicate and promote initiatives for accident prevention, promoting innovation and different ways of working.
Your duties:
The contractors write the method statements, you check them.
A sound knowledge and ideally training in CDM 2015
The need to have a Full UK Driving Licence. You will claim mileage at HMRC rates
NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction background
The need to be up to speed with the SCADA and telemetry element, and have worked in a utility environment
It would be useful to know WITS: WITS is the acronym used for the Worldwide Industrial Telemetry Standards (formerly 'Water Industry Telemetry Standards'), a set of telemetry standards and protocols first developed by UK water industry companies. The standards were created to provide greater interoperability between Field Devices and Master Stations from different manufacturers. They are now supported by many vendors
