Description

The role will be responsible for understanding our consumers, product development, innovation and communication. The communication focus will reach across our brand portfolio and also how we position ourselves in the media and social media.

Essential within this role will be the creation of both an annual budget plan & a mid-term plan for both Brand, that is complementary to our Private Label strategy in creating value.

In terms of brand portfolio, this will be looking at our existing brand portfolio, and determining where we can play and how we can win. Plus developing an innovation pipeline to further strengthen our market position. This should be developed into a rolling 3 year plan, to enable prioritisation, targeted resource allocation and capacity planning.

It is critical for each brand that we understand clearly and can demonstrate via pen portraits who are the primary target consumers and secondary target consumers, based on insight.

It is expected that the communication strategy will be developed in several ways to ensure that we have both a through the line consumer/shopper communication plan & a trade communication plan:

  • Targeted & efficient consumer communication (Media, social media, influencers)
  • Targeted shopper marketing (Primary & secondary Packaging, in-store Communication)

Plus shaping industry via Trade Press, Website & Linked In

  • Renovate existing products & develop innovation pipeline: lead the project management process, develop recipes, lead project meetings.
  • Develop design and artwork: lead external design agencies, lead the in house packaging process, ensure implementation with our packaging department and factories.
  • Lead development of the brand portfolio: monitor, recommend, motivate, reward the other departments to drive brand performance.
  • Analyse brand & market information that are presented or sent to the whole company and/or the UK operational board
  • Contribute to the selling of your products by presenting internally to the sales team and externally to customers.
  • Lead the day to day and make impact by prioritising across the brands you are responsible for.
  • Develop appropriate through the line communication plan, to target consumers and shoppers in the most effective and cost effective manner (Advertising, influencers, digital & social media, sponsorship etc.)
  • Become a passionate expert of your consumer & shopper and drive understanding internally & externally**.**

Profile

  • Previous experience with 3-5 years plus previous brand marketing experience in an FMCG food or drinks business
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Capacity to embrace and create change
  • Great team player capable to support, to lead, to care and to tell things as they are
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal & influencing skills
  • Organised, with meticulous attention to detail and ability to prioritise
  • Passion for winning
