This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the South West's leading sustainability consultancies who provide specialist environmental services to the construction industry. They are on the lookout for a proficient IES Modeller to join their energy team in their offices in Bristol.

Role responsibilities for a IES Modeller include:

  • Use IES-VE software to carry out energy modelling and analysis to optimise building performance
  • Ensure projects are in compliance with CIBSE TM52 and TM59 by carrying out Part O assessments
  • Work alongside architects and engineers to ensure the best energy design strategies are put in place
  • Help improve client understanding of Part L and Part O
  • Provide sustainable solutions to clients to reduce their carbon footprint and mentor the more junior members of the team.

The ideal IES Modeller will have:

  • Proficiency with IES-VE software to carry out energy modelling and analysis
  • Relevant degree within an environmental science, engineering, or architectural field
  • Relevant experience within a sustainability or building physics role carrying out overheating, daylight calculations, or operational energy analysis
  • It would be beneficial to have experience mentoring junior team members when it comes to IES software
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
