We are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join our dedicated team at a special school committed to supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. Day to Day of the role:
- Work directly with identified individuals or groups of pupils to help overcome barriers to learning, improve behaviour, and raise achievement.
- Liaise with parents, appropriate agencies, and the wider school community to support all concerned.
- Lead the school's Behaviour Team, implementing strategies and interventions to support pupils' behavioural and emotional needs.
- Develop professional relationships with pupils and staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Monitor and report on the progress of pupils, adapting approaches as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.
- Ability to develop professional relationships with pupils and staff.
- Strong communication skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all children.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
