About the role

We are seeking a Change Risk Manager to join our Risk team. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a growing team where you will play an important role in supporting our business growth ambitions. You will support the 2nd line of defence, Head of Change and Third Party Risk in working collaboratively across the 3 lines of defence to build the teams reputation for providing proactive challenge, support, thought leadership, oversight and assurance.

What you'll be doing

  • Work closely with Change leaders, managers and stakeholders providing guidance, oversight and challenge to the BAU change and transformation initiatives.
  • Work with the Change teams providing guidance, oversight and challenge in the management of risk and controls during the execution of change.
  • Support and work closely with other 2nd line Risk SME's in the guidance, oversight and challenge of 1st line business functions involved in change - Operational, Data, Digital and Technology.
  • Provide oversight, guidance and assurance that supports continual improvement of Change Risk management across the Group and Third Parties.
  • Work closely with and support other 2nd line Risk functions and 3rd line Audit.

About you

  • Experience of working within and having a thorough understanding of financial service environments.
  • Experience in 1st or 2nd line risk management in a large commercial organisation.
  • Accomplished in the practical application of risk management frameworks.
  • Strong focus on key principles and approach which support and deliver against strategic business objectives and drive the balance of risk management and client outcomes.
  • Good understanding of change management in a large organisation, ideally Financial Services.
  • Strong working knowledge of the FCA Handbook and its application.
  • Good understanding of current change risks facing FS organisations.
  • Proven ability to build strong and effective relationships and influence staff at all levels.
  • An effective and engaging communicator, able to present complex information in simple context, adapting your style to suit your audience.
  • Possess an analytical mindset, striving for continuous improvement across relationships and process.
  • Operate with a sense of credibility and gravitas, upholding HL values throughout.

Interview process

This will be a two-stage interview process, consisting of a competency-based interview, and an assessment task.

Working Schedule

Based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern to enable you the option of working from home and coming into the office.
