Hampton College is an established, successful, all-through school, which formed its own multi-academy trust (Hampton Academies Trust - HAT) in 2014. The Trust is also the education provider for the neighbouring secondary school, Hampton Gardens School and Hampton Lakes Primary School, which opened in September 2019. In 2020, Dogsthorpe Infant School joined our trust. HAT schools have very close links and some shared staff.

Hampton College currently serves the community of Hampton, on the southern outskirts of the city of Peterborough and has good links to Cambridge and Stamford. Hampton Gardens School serves the neighbouring Cambridgeshire village of Yaxley, as well new housing being added to the Hampton East development, where Hampton Lakes Primary School is located.

STUDENT LIAISON OFFICER

We are looking for an experienced Student Liaison Officer to join our team supporting students at Hampton College. This is a varied and exciting new role, and the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, aswell as being flexible, adaptable and highly organised.

As the Student Liaison Officer your role will be to support the welfare and positive behaviour of all students, in particular those that have been identified as requiring more specialist support. You will be using the Early Help Assessment Framework process to improve outcomes for children and families. This role will also involve collaborating with colleagues within school, supporting with home visits, liaising with external agencies and parents and also fulfilling the duties of a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

In addition to the above, this role will also support with administration for the pastoral team and include day-to-day management of student behaviour, including supporting in the school's inclusion and reset rooms. Therefore, experience of working with young people, particularly in managing and/or supporting with behavioural issues and attendance is essential.

Working Hours:

32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days

8:15am - 3:15pm Monday to Friday (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Salary:

Student Liaison Officer (Grade 8)

Full-time salary (52 weeks) from £29,777 to £33,024 per annum

Term-time salary (32.5 hrs per week/term time plus 5 days) from £22,396 to £24,839 per annum
