My client are a start-up organisation with a vision to producing green energy and supplying sustainable energy using extremely high technology. The firm has had several major injections of cash and are on a trajectory to grow very rapidly and operating on a global scale. Currently, they have 3 offices with their HQ based in London.
Your new role
Supporting the FC, working as part of a small team near Hammersmith, your role will focus on AP, AR, bank recs and VAT but also to progress into management accounting and business partnering. In detail, the tasks will cover dealing with supplier invoices, reviewing expense claims, gaining approval for payment, credit notes, aged debtors and creditors reports, weekly supplier payments, month-end journals, bank reconciliations. In addition, you will be dealing with a payroll of 150 staff (you will be trained), VAT returns, and this will progress onto financial reporting, cash flow and trial balance, using Xero and Excel.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a minimum of 2 years of accounts experience to include AP, bank recs, ideally intercompany accounts and month end. You will be actively studying and keen to progress, be ambitious, a self-starter, be proactive in seeking out work and also adding value to the business.
