Financial Controller

Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Lead the Finance team to deliver accurate Management Accounts and information to strict local and group deadlines and in line with all relevant accounting standards
  • Provide accurate and robust information to the business to assist decision making • Responsible for the control of the trial balance and all associated ledgers
  • Conduct monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reviews to ensure accuracy of results and compliance
  • Management of all Group submissions on group reporting platforms
  • Development and training of the finance team, acting as a mentor for succession planning
  • • Lead the annual Financial Audit process, including preparation of the annual statutory accounts • Oversee annual Fixed Asset audit
  • Responsible for the control and management of J-SOX internal controls audits
  • Preparation of Annual Budgets • Management of the AP and AR ledger teams
  • Responsible for completing and submitting ONS returns
  • Maintain up to date departmental operating procedures and process notes
  • Deputise for the Finance and IT Director as require

Essential: • Fully Qualified CIMA / ACCA, with minimum of 3 years PQE • Highly effective communicator • Previous demonstrable experience in a similar Management role • Highly experienced with Microsoft Office suite • Understanding of SOX

Desirable: • Knowledge of ERP / MRP systems • Knowledge of Standard costing calculations • Knowledge of Aurora System21 • Knowledge of Kaizen or Continuous Improvement

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am-4.45pm Friday -8am-12.30pm
