Referral and Assessment and Team
Initial contacts are mainly received through our MASH Team or Emergency Duty Team (EDT) if a concern is raised out of hours. Our MASH colleagues will review the referrals, offer support and advice as necessary and make decisions about whether threshold for intervention is made.
Once a decision is made, the child and their family are referred to our Referral and Assessment colleagues who will undertake a child and family assessment to determine the appropriate support needed for the family.
Safeguarding and Care Planning Services
The Safeguarding and Care Planning Service works in partnership with other agencies such as Police, Health and Education, and aims to ensure children grow up with the best life chances and receive safe and consistent care. The service operates on the premise that children should be raised within their families wherever possible and providing it is safe for them. The service works with children who are subject to Child in Need Plans and Child Protection Plans and strive to work with their family to create and promote the enabling environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.
Locality (Adults)
The London Borough of Bromley, Adult Social Care Services are looking for a Social Worker to join our friendly and hard-working team. The roles are in Bromley Locality teams which deal with a broad range of Adult Social Care referrals. All care management and safeguarding tasks are undertaken as per the statutory duties for a local authority underpinned by the Adult Social Care legislation. Adult Social Care is on a transformation journey, and we are seeking talented and experienced people to join us to support the changes that are taking place and lead the team forward.
Requirements:
- SWE Registered Social Worker
- A professional social work qualification
- Substantial post-qualification experience in children and families
- Living in the UK
