The Role

As a Workshop Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our fleet of Distribution Tractors and specialist vehicles are always at their best. From performing routine servicing and inspections to tackling technical repairs, you'll be key to maintaining the safety and functionality of our vehicles. You will also take on mobile repair tasks and be a part of our Field Service Team, responding to breakdowns across the UK.

Working Hours

  • 38.75 - 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Day shift with no weekend work

Key Responsbilities:

  • Perform VOSA-standard inspections, servicing, and repairs on a variety of specialist vehicles.
  • Diagnose faults and efficiently carry out repairs to a high standard.
  • Handle accident-damaged vehicle inspections and produce detailed reports.
  • Support field service and breakdown repairs as needed, ensuring top-tier customer service.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on various projects and new initiatives.
  • Ensure all health & safety protocols are followed.

What We're Looking For

  • City & Guilds Levels 1, 2, and 3 or equivalent qualifications in Heavy Goods Vehicle Repair/Maintenance
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing specialist vehicles.
  • Strong communication skills and a flexible approach to working both in the workshop and in the field.
  • Ability to travel within the UK and overseas if required.
  • Solid understanding of health & safety in a workshop environment.
