Randstad is working closely with a well-established secondary school in the Cambridgeshire area that is looking for a dedicated and dynamic Maths Teacher to join their staff. As a key member of the Mathematics department, you will play a vital role in helping students develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, problem-solving abilities and the confidence to apply these skills in both academic settings and everyday life. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons that cover a range of topics from basic arithmetic to advanced algebra, geometry and statistics.
  • Foster an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where students feel confident to engage with mathematical concepts and problem-solving.
  • Encourage students to develop logical thinking and a deep understanding of mathematical principles.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Maths curriculum.
  • Inspire students to develop a love for numbers and problem-solving that will last throughout their lives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required for this position.
  • A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Excellent classroom management.
  • Experience as a Maths Teacher at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
