We are currently looking to recruit numerous Drivers Mates (Porters) to work with the very prestigious John Lewis Partnership, during their busy Christmas peak!
What will you do in a typical day?
As a Drivers Mate you will be tasked with assisting the Driver with the home delivery of products to customers properties. We are looking for a Porter who can provide an exceptional service, being polite and presentable at all times, whilst building good relationships with the customers.
You will be delivering a variety of goods (from cushions to washing machines), therefore the role will involve some heavy lifting and you will need to support the Driver with this at each drop point.
The role of a Porter will also involve contacting each customer, letting them know when they are the next delivery on route.
The client offers a room of choice service, along with some installations on white goods and electrical items. A full induction/ training period will be provided for all new starters.
What are the shift patterns?
We are currently looking for candidates who are happy to work on the AM shift, which is 06:00 until 17:00.
The client will endeavour to offer four working days out of six (they are closed on Sundays), however this is dependant on volume.
The rate of pay is £12.20ph, rising to £18.30ph for anything worked over 41hrs per week. Each standard day is around 11hrs.
