Travel Trainer

A leading Cruise Travel agent are looking for an experienced Trainer to join our dynamic team and help our sales force reach new heights of success.
The Trainer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive business focused training programs aimed at improving the skills and performance of our teams. This role will involve conducting training sessions, workshops, and coaching to enhance the team's knowledge of cruise products, sales techniques, and customer service excellence.

You will have Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a training role, preferably within the Cruise sector or travel industry.

Working Hours- Monday - Friday 09:00-17:30. Cheshire/Manchester office based.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and update sales training materials, including manuals, presentations, e-learning modules, and workshops, tailored to the cruise industry.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, adjusting as needed.
  • Highlight training opportunities to the management team and provide appropriate solutions in line with business goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, sales techniques, and training best practices to continuously improve training programs.

Training Delivery:

  • Conduct engaging and effective training sessions for new hires and ongoing development for existing staff, both virtually and in-person.
  • Develop and implement upskilling initiatives to ensure the sales team is knowledgeable about the latest cruise offerings, industry trends, and sales strategies.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of training programs for all departments, ensuring consistency and alignment with overall business goals.
  • Conduct an engaging onboarding induction to new starters, ensuring our new starters are well equipped to succeed in their new role.
  • Respond to personal training requests and provide one-on-one coaching to team members, addressing individual development needs and improve overall sales performance.

About you:

  • Strong knowledge of cruise product, sales principles and techniques.
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive training content.
  • Proficiency in e-learning platforms and training software.
  • Passionate about the travel industry, specifically the cruise industry.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team, both face to face and remotely.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage a portfolio of training across the business.
