The Design Engineer will be a crucial addition to the Engineering and Manufacturing team, tasked with designing, developing, and testing all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Description
- Develop and test designs for industrial / manufacturing machinery through to DFM
- Collaborate with the engineering team to address customer needs
- Ensure all designs meet regulatory standards
- Use CAD tools for creating and modifying designs
- Present design ideas and prototypes to the team and clients
- Assist in troubleshooting design issues
- Continuously stay updated with the latest design trends in the industry
- Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively
Profile
The successful Design Engineer should have:
- Worked in a similar design position within medium/heavy machinery manufacturing/assembly
- Proficiency in 3D Inventor CAD software
- Developed designs from concept to manufacture
- Strong problem-solving skills to address design issues
- A degree in engineering or related field
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Ideally FEA experience
Job Offer
- Hourly rate c£35 Outside IR35
- 6 month minimum contract
- 5 days on site
