This Finance Manager role is pivotal in supporting the Financial Director (FD) and will manage a team of four direct reports. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial consolidation process, leading month-end close activities, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Consolidations:
Oversee and manage the financial consolidation process across multiple sites, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.
- Month-End Close:
Lead and coordinate the month-end close process, including the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and P&L accounts. Ensure all deadlines are met and financial data is accurate.
- Team Management:
Directly manage and mentor a team of four finance professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to enhance their performance and career growth.
- Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present monthly financial reports to the Financial Director, highlighting key trends, variances, and insights to support informed decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist the FD in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial analysis and insights to help shape the company's financial strategy.
- Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, driving efficiencies and ensuring best practices are followed across the finance function.
- Compliance and Controls:
Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant regulations and internal controls are maintained to mitigate risk.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments and senior management to provide financial support and insights that align with the company's strategic objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a similar finance management role.
- Strong understanding of financial consolidations and month-end processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
