Community Wellbeing Team Manager

We are looking for a Community Wellbeing Team Manager to lead, coordinate, manage, and expand our services for children and families. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and development of our Community Wellbeing Team services, delivered in partnership with local charities and NHS trust.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and oversee the expansion of service provision to meet contract requirements with Surrey Wellbeing Partnership, designed around the iThrive framework.
  • Collaborate with the Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Manager to develop and implement a business plan across community services.
  • Manage a team of practitioners and an office administrator, including regular one-to-ones, annual appraisals, and setting objectives for development and training.
  • Act as the first point of operational contact for the team, supporting practitioners with risk management and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with partners across the Surrey Wellbeing Partnership and Mindworks Alliance to respond to local needs, manage referrals, and share best practices.
  • Promote the Community Wellbeing Team and services to relevant agencies, referrers, and service users.
  • Oversee the Youth Centre to support the delivery.
  • Ensure accurate data recording and management of referrals.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training and parent/carer workshops as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in service management and development within a similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage risk and support practitioners in a community wellbeing setting.
  • Experience in working with children, young people, and families in a wellbeing context.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding protocols and commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults.
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required.
