Reports to: Head of Operations
Remuneration: £35,000 - £40,000 (TBC)
Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday 07:15 - 16:30, Fridays 07:15 - 12:15
Annual Leave: 25 days + Statutory
Location: Tividale,

Overview: The Logistics Manager oversees the control of three 3.5-tonne vans and all staff involved in order fulfilment, aiming to achieve an On Time In Full (OTIF) target. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate, timely deliveries with correct documentation, managing incoming supplier loads, and coordinating the internal movement of goods.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Management of Vehicle Fleet:

Schedule services and bookings, maintain records.
Conduct and record daily vehicle checks (using AssetGo software).
Ensure driver compliance and vehicle cleanliness.
Perform preventative maintenance.
Utilize tracking software (Webfleet).
Delivery Coordination:

Arrange delivery bookings with customers as needed.
Collaborate with the customer service team on delivery schedules.
Plan routes and loads for outbound deliveries.
Ensure accurate documentation for all outbound orders.
Auto-invoice orders upon dispatch.
Verify outbound goods against customer requirements and works orders.
Logistical Support:

Move waste material between sites.
Transfer materials between storage facilities for production needs.
Team Management:

Supervise drivers and forklift drivers/yard operatives.
Handle daily tasking, holiday bookings, and general HR duties.
Incoming Load Management:

Work with other managers to direct materials, perform administrative tasks, and confirm the accuracy of goods delivered.
Production Coordination:

Attend daily production meetings, provide feedback to customer services, and liaise with the production team to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Dispatch Area Maintenance:

Keep the dispatch area organized, with customer orders prepared in date order for shipment.
Export Management:

Manage loading of export containers/vehicles and prepare all required export documentation.
Third-Party Couriers:

Organize the use of third-party couriers when necessary.
Housekeeping:

Ensure the team conducts daily housekeeping tasks.
Health and Safety:

Enforce Health and Safety policies across all relevant areas.
Requirements:

Experience in a similar role is essential.
A forklift truck (FLT) license is advantageous.
A full, clean driving license is essential.
Proficiency in IT is required.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) is advantageous (training will be provided).
