Insurance Assistant (Helpdesk & Sales Support Assistant)

As an Insurance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting their mission by delivering exceptional service, exceeding expectations, and fostering enduring relationships built on trust and integrity.

Responsibilities

As an Insurance Assistant, you will:

  • Efficiently manage incoming emails and tickets to the Helpdesk and handle ongoing telephone calls.
  • Create and circulate regular reports, analyze management information, and support decision-making processes.
  • Input data into BIG and collaborate with on system enhancements.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key insurers, brokers, and internal personnel.
  • Make outbound calls to brokers to increase retention rates, reduce lapse rates, and boost new business.
  • Support product developments and ensure compliance with FCA requirements.
  • Consistently embrace and comply with company values, maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Education: Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prior experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a broking or underwriting environment. Customer service experience and familiarity with insurance software systems are essential.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, planning, organizational, and administrative skills. Adaptability to changing environments and efficiency under pressure. Proficiency in computer literacy, analytical skills, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Professional Attributes: Ethical standards, regulatory knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining professionalism and integrity.

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Manage daily helpdesk operations, including responding to emails, tickets, and phone calls.
  • Generate and analyze reports to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance system functionality.
  • Engage with brokers to support business retention and growth initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
