Responsibilities
As an Insurance Assistant, you will:
- Efficiently manage incoming emails and tickets to the Helpdesk and handle ongoing telephone calls.
- Create and circulate regular reports, analyze management information, and support decision-making processes.
- Input data into BIG and collaborate with on system enhancements.
- Develop strong working relationships with key insurers, brokers, and internal personnel.
- Make outbound calls to brokers to increase retention rates, reduce lapse rates, and boost new business.
- Support product developments and ensure compliance with FCA requirements.
- Consistently embrace and comply with company values, maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Education: Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a broking or underwriting environment. Customer service experience and familiarity with insurance software systems are essential.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, planning, organizational, and administrative skills. Adaptability to changing environments and efficiency under pressure. Proficiency in computer literacy, analytical skills, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Professional Attributes: Ethical standards, regulatory knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining professionalism and integrity.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Manage daily helpdesk operations, including responding to emails, tickets, and phone calls.
- Generate and analyze reports to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance system functionality.
- Engage with brokers to support business retention and growth initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
