Sales Director

Kenny Recruit are partnering with one of our favourite and long term clients in their search for a Sales Director. This is a brand new role due to company growth and the CEO needing a third senior manager alongside himself and the COO. As a business our client operates in the marketing and advertising sector and is growing from strength to strength.

The CEO is looking for a proven Sales Director. You must be able to show sales growth over a prolonged period of time as well as demonstrating you/your teams have maintained current business to a high level. We are also looking for someone who can develop further business from existing clients. You will also need to enjoy the mentoring side of things as you will have a fairly young sales team around you. Your numbers will be important, but so will your leadership style. If you're not a team player or someone who is happy to lead by example then this company is not for you.

You will report into the CEO and be solely responsible for the sales of the business. You will attend board meetings and be required to present and have confidence in doing so. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the running of the business alongside the COO and the CEO.

Our client are at the start of implementing their 3-year strategy plan so there is no better time to join!

Pay: £90,000 - £105,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + 30% bonus + uncapped commission, private health cover, 25 days holiday

Location: Richmond/Twickenham (hybrid working - 3 days in the office)

Working hours: 9.00am - 5.00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all company revenue (c. £14.2m) across existing and new clients and all three company services
  • A genuine leader you will manage and inspire your team to achieve their goals in line with the company's 3-year strategy plan
  • As the sales leader you will be part of the senior leadership team reporting directly to the CEO

Key Accountabilities:

  • Run and improve the sales team, achieving the sales budget and non-financial KPI's
  • Retain, grow and provide world class service to existing client base
  • Analyse and report on revenue, profitability and KPI performance
  • Promote the new services and features as they are onboarded
  • Follow the company management approach and performance management policy
  • Work effectively with other managers to run the business on a day to day basis

Skills needed:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a senior sales role with people management responsibility
  • An experienced leader with a history of leading and inspiring teams to achieve their goals
  • Experience working in and of growing SME business(es)
  • Understands solution selling process
  • Demonstrate history of further education such as an MBA or other similar courses
  • Experience in direct mail, print or unaddressed delivery knowledge OR selling to the public sector OR selling to the construction industry an advantage
