Shipping Document Controller (9-12 months fixed term contract)
Monday to Friday
37.5 hours per week (flexible start time available)
£27,000 - £30,000 per annum
Our client, an established company working within the medical industry based in Dartford, are looking to recruit a Shipping Document Controller to join their team on a fixed term contract basis. This role would suit a meticulous, well organised individual who has experience working within the logistics sector on a global platform.
The role:
- Keeping up to date on the previous days dispatches
- Working closely with our third party logistics company on any issues or delays
- Collaborating all the relevant documentation prior to exportation
- Update shipping documents on Excel
- Providing any outstanding documents relating to Airway Bills, Bill of Ladings and Legalised documents
- Monitor daily tracking for all live consignments
- Dealing with customers and agents in a timely manner
- Assist with Export Compliance for countries in the Middle East and Africa
- Liaise with forwarders to ensure Air waybill or Bill of Lading are received on time
The right candidate will have/be:
- Previous experience working within a global logistics organisation
- The ability to work in a fast moving workplace
- Able to adapt and problem solve in a timely manner
- Good Excel knowledge
- A big emphasis on customer care and going above and beyond to resolve any issues that may arise
- A team player and the ability multitask when necessary
