Our client is a large and growing service business with a progressive finance department made of several teams that are always looking to improve. We're looking to assist in further strengthening the function by recruiting a progressive, career-minded and motivated Assistant Accountant to a newly created entry level role.
Reporting to Head of Management Accounting you will take end-to-end responsibility for regular reporting relating to one or more group companies, with Assistant Accountant responsibilities including:
- Preparing regular P&Ls, balance sheets, reports and analysis
- Identifying opportunities for improved financial performance
- Communicating and interpreting financial information to business managers
- Supporting colleagues in your team and the wider department
- Improving financial systems and process
As Assistant Accountant you'll need to offer:
- Strong early accounting experience gained in an Assistant Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant or Accounts Assistant type role
- AAT study or qualification - or early stage study in CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
- A smart, progressive, proactive, ambitious "go getter" and flexible approach
- Commercial focus
