Audit Semi-Senior
Ambition is working with one of the leading firms in the East Anglia region, looking to hire an Audit Semi-Senior for their Cambridge office.
Your role will be around 70% audit and 30% accounts and you will work with a diverse range of clients, from owner-managed businesses (OMBs) where you will play a vital advisory role, to large international groups with turnovers in the hundreds of millions. Clients span various sectors, including corporate clients, financial services (FS), and not-for-profit (NFP) organisations.

Requirements
- Assisting in Audit Planning: Supporting the development of audit plans, including defining the scope and objectives.
- Conducting Fieldwork: Performing audit fieldwork, such as testing financial records, evaluating internal controls, and gathering audit evidence.
- Financial Analysis: Reviewing financial statements and ensuring they comply with accounting standards.
- Risk Assessment: Identifying areas of risk within the client's business and assisting in designing audit procedures to address these risks.
- Supervising Junior Staff: Providing guidance and support to junior auditors, reviewing their work, and ensuring audit objectives are met.
- Client Interaction: Communicating with clients to gather information, address their queries, and provide updates on audit progress.
- Internal Controls Evaluation: Assessing the effectiveness of clients' internal controls and suggesting improvements.
- Documentation: Preparing and maintaining detailed audit documentation and working papers.
- Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of audit reports, summarising findings, and presenting them to senior auditors and client management.
- Compliance Checks: Ensuring that clients adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Professional Development: Keeping up to date with changes in auditing standards, regulations, and best practices, and applying this knowledge to audit engagements.
Requirements
- AAT qualified and/or ICAEW/ACCA part-qualified
- A minimum of one years' experience working in audit in the UK
- Right to work with no sponsorship requirements
