You will be working for a small friendly accountancy practice based in central Salisbury who are looking for a permanent, full-time experienced Bookkeeper/ Accounts Assistant to join their team.
The role will be varied but will include bookkeeping, accounts production for limited companies, and sole traders, preparation of VAT returns and basic payroll processing using computerised systems (Xero predominantly). You will be working with a wide range of clients, liaising with them directly when required (often on-site at their premises) and taking responsibility for your own workload.
It is likely that you will have several years' experience of working within an accountancy practice and be qualified AAT or working towards your qualification. You will need to have the confidence to work directly with clients, to work accurately and efficiently both as a team member and individually, and be proficient in the use of Excel and Windows with working knowledge of Xero (training can be given). Excellent communication skills are essential (both written and spoken) and, ideally, you will live within reasonable travelling distance of Salisbury.
