My client is looking for a Junior Town Planner to be based out of their Surrey office. This company is a UK-based building company who are known for their large-scale housing projects., including affordable housing. Their schemes range from 120-1500 units, giving you exposure to exciting projects!
As a Junior Town Planner, your key responsibilities will be assisting in managing and delivering a range of planning projects from inception to completion. You will also provide planning advice to clients, stakeholders, and colleagues. As part of a team, you will prepare planning applications, appeals, and representations, that will then be looked over by more senior members. There is the exciting opportunity to conduct site appraisals, research, and analysis to inform planning strategies. Good communication skills are essential as you will liaise with local authorities, community groups, and other stakeholders.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A degree in Town Planning or a related field.
- Over 2 years of experience in planning consultancy role, ideally dealing with residential projects.
- Knowledge of the UK planning system, policies, and regulations.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive approach with a passion for delivering practical and effective planning solutions.
