Salary: £12.05 per hour (£12.95 for nights) plus additional for weekend work

The Wilf Ward Family Trust has a great opportunity for you to join our team at one of our registered services, Sherburn House in Knaresborough. Sherburn House is a complex care service, where we support people with profound learning disabilities and complex physical needs.

You will be working with a mixture of men and women, ranging from 19 - 60 years old.

Sherburn House offers a 24-hour service and offers support through the day and night. There is an abundance of activities that take place, and we have visitors who come and bring the fun to us!

No two days are the same, which makes this role very exciting!

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will be:

  • Attend activities and events with individuals
  • Assist with household tasks including meal preparation, medication management, cleaning and laundry
  • Monitor and report any changes in physical or mental health to the appropriate staff members
  • Maintaining accurate up-to-date records of care

We have a fantastic training programme, which will give you the skills and knowledge you need to excel in this role.

What we do need is someone with a compassionate and caring nature, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team and a willingness to undergo relevant training and development.
