A newly qualified Group Accountant is required to join the Accounting & Finance department of a leading FMCG company near Leeds/ Wakefield.

Description
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Business partnering with other teams and business across the Group internally and externally.
Role
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify trends in financial performance.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Perform detailed financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and provide analytical support.
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Ensuring entities remain up to date and compliant with relevant legislation including latest accounting standards, VAT.
- Contribute to process improvements and the implementation of new financial systems.
Ad Hoc
- Support for process improvement projects / best practice working with SMEs as needed.
- Supporting the annual external statutory audit for and drive the evolution of a more controls-based audit approach.
Profile
A successful Newly qualified Accountant should have:
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified
- Strong Excel and IT skills are essential
- Team player, willing to learn and get involved with a wide range of tasks
- Ability to work on own initiative and generate solutions
