Are you a skilled Painter & Decorator looking to make a difference? Join our Empty Homes Team and help rejuvenate void properties to our high Void Standard, ready for new customers!

What you'll be doing

  • All painting and decorating tasks, both inside and outside GUHG properties.
  • Collaborating with other trades for efficient project delivery.
  • Measuring, ordering, collecting, and planning materials.
  • Working with your line manager to meet deadlines and ensure cost-effective service.
  • Keeping the company vehicle clean and reporting any defects.
  • Managing and replenishing van stock accurately.
  • Communicating courteously and professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Following Health & Safety guidelines and policies.
  • Maintaining and using company-provided equipment effectively.
  • Participating in training and attending team meetings as needed.

What we're looking for

  • Experience preparing surfaces for decoration.
  • Skilled in protecting surfaces around work areas.
  • Proficiency in applying paint by brush, roller, and airless spray.
  • Experience hanging wallpaper and applying mould treatments.
  • Ability to build and dismantle access equipment safely.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Confidence using IT such as smartphones and tablets.

Essential criteria

  • Full UK driver's license.
  • DBS clearance (we'll provide this check).
  • NVQ Level 2 or higher in Painting and Decorating, or demonstrable experience.

A PASMA card and CSCS card would be beneficial but aren't essential to apply.
