Finance Operations Manager

I am recruiting for a senior leadership role as Finance Operations Manager for a London Real Estate and Investment company, listed on the London Stock Exchange and based in Central London.

The candidate would have responsibility of managing 4 direct reports and overall team size of 7, including AP Team, Service Charge Team, finance operations and systems and a finance assistant.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days in the office, 2 days WFH

The Finance Operations Manager will report to the Finance Director and have responsibility for the workloads, appraisals and development of the AP and Service Charge Team.

Responsibility for maintaining the portfolio, nominal ledger and reviewing completion statements for property purchases, property disposals, new leases and lease terminations. On the nominal ledger, they will ensure that the accounts payable team have the inter-company accounts balanced and the error accounts cleared down and that the postings are made in a timely fashion.

The finance operations manager has administrative access to the Finance System and travel and expenses system

The candidate is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the purchase ledger as well as the processing of both purchase invoices and BACS runs.

The finance operations manager is responsible for the preparation and review of year end and half year audit schedules including: Running all postings in the accounting system, payment legislation reporting, running the rent analysis report and reconciling it to the ledger, reconciling the tenant ledger control account

Additional Responsibilities:

Signing off CHAPS payments

Signing off quarterly ground rent payments

Assisting with FCA returns

Approving invoices
