Highways Technician – Cardiff – £45,000 - £50,000

About the Company

Our client Designs, Delivers and Maintains infrastructure projects across the UK. Working with local authorities and private clients across the UK. We are looking for a Highways Electrical Technician to join our team and deliver high-quality services to our customers.

Highways Technician – Requirements

  • A relevant qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent (NVQ Level 3 or above)
  • A valid ECS card and CSCS card
  • A HERS Portfolio
  • SMSTS Qualification
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Experience in highways electrical work or similar
  • Good knowledge of electrical standards and regulations
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Highways Technician – Responsibilities

  • Carrying out installation, maintenance and repair of street lighting, traffic signals and other electrical equipment on highways and public roads
  • Supervising 3rd party maintenance activities & maintenance closures
  • Working safely and efficiently, following health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring good communication and customer satisfaction
  • Completing paperwork and records accurately and timely
  • Working as part of a team and supporting other technicians as needed
